These days there are several options available for transferring from Luqa Airport – Malta to your accommodation in Gozo.
We have listed some of the options that are available to you.
● We can arrange a pre-booked complete transfer service:
Taxi from Airport to Ferry→ travel on Ferry as foot passenger to Gozo* → Taxi from Ferry to your accommodation.
● Use a Transfer company (several advertise on the internet) for full journey from Malta Airport to your accommodation in Gozo:
Transfer from Airport to Ferry → travel on Ferry as foot passenger * / or vehicle travels on Ferry → Transfer from Ferry to your accommodation.
● Use Transfer company (several advertise on the internet) for part of the journey:
Transfer from Airport to Ferry → travel on Ferry as Foot passenger* → once on Gozo, either: take a Taxi from Taxi Rank, take a Bus (see below) or arrange with us to be collected and taken to your accommodation.
● Take the bus - Arriva bus company:
X1 from Airport to Cirkewwa → Take the Ferry as a foot passenger *→ From Mgarr, take 322 directly to Marsalforn, or, 301 to Victoria and 306 to Marsalforn (click here for Arriva Malta website).
● Pre-book a Hire car from Malta Airport (book directly with company of your choice or airline’s partner offer):
Drive from Airport to Ferry at Cirkewwa → Drive on to ferry → Ferry to Gozo → Drive to accommodation.
* there is a large secure wheeled luggage container provided at the ferry terminals to put your luggage into if you are travelling as foot passengers, this takes your luggage on to ferry for you.
Useful information:
The journey from Malta Airport to Cirkewwa Ferry port is approx 40 mins by taxi/car.
Cirkewwa is the ferry port on Malta.
Mgarr is the ferry port on Gozo.
The ferry journey is approx 25 mins, and operates every 45 minutes during most of the day.

Mgarr ferry port to Marsalforn is approx 15 mins by taxi/car.
The ferry fare is payable on the return journey from Gozo to Malta, at just under €5 per person for foot passengers.
A standard taxi can carry a maximum of 4 passengers plus luggage.
A minibus can be arranged for larger groups and can carry a maximum of 8-10 passengers (depending on amount of luggage).
